There were 1,399 Huntsville foreclosure homes for sale with 189 new foreclosures in Nov 2010. One in every 491 housing units received a foreclosure filing in Nov. Huntsville interest rates averaged 4.30% in Nov while the number of foreclosed homes increased from 80 in Oct to 189 in Nov.

Foreclosure activity is based on the total number of properties that receive foreclosure filings – default notice, foreclosure auction notice or bank repossession – each month. Interest rate is based on the average 30-year fixed rate from Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey.

Huntsville Foreclosure Geographical Comparison

Huntsville foreclosure activity was the same as national statistics, .07% higher than state figures and 0.04% below Madison County statistics.

The number of  Bank-Owned properties increased from 51 in Oct to 64 in Nov. The number of Auctions increased from 29 to 185 and there is a 6-month rising trend in foreclosure activity.
