There were 902 Huntsville AL foreclosure homes for sale with 112 new foreclosures in March 2011. One in every 848 housing units received a foreclosure filing in March. The average sales price of a Huntsville home was $183,870 and the average foreclosure sales price was $136,103, a $47,767  savings, according to RealtyTrac.com.

Huntsville interest rates averaged 4.84% in March while the number of foreclosed homes increased from 103 to 112.

Foreclosure activity is based on the total number of properties that receive foreclosure filings – default notice, foreclosure auction notice or bank repossession – each month. Interest rate is based on the average 30-year fixed rate from Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey.
