Labor Day Fun in Huntsville AL!

Labor Day is on September 3rd, and for many that means a day off to enjoy time with family. But do you know why Labor Day even exists?  Annually celebrated on the first Monday in September, it was created by the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American worker. We celebrate the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.  There are a lot of fun events going on in and around Huntsville all of Labor Day weekend:

Come see the ongoing Gardens of Myth exhibit, or have fun at the Scarecrow Breakfast & Festival at the opening of the Scarecrow Trail.  Breakfast, activities and hayrides will be available from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Admission for non-members is $23 for adults and $16 for kids.

Battle for Decatur Reenactment – If you are a history buff, this is the event for you!  This annual Civil War reenactment is held at Point Mallard Park and this year takes place on September 1 and 2 at 2:00 PM.  More than 200 reenactors will participate and visitors will be able to see authentic equipment, clothing and drills.
